Taoyuan, Taiwan (R.O.C) August 7, 2012 – Chroma Ate Inc. (TAIEX: 2360) today announced the results for second quarter in the fiscal year 2012, which ended June 30th, 2012. In the second quarter, consolidated sales revenues were NTD 3,090million. The parent only sales revenues were NTD 1,122 million, an increase of 28% QoQ and decline of 34% YoY. Net profit was NTD 284 million, a growth of 73% QoQ and a decline of 46% YoY, with basic earnings per share of NTD 0.76. EPS is based on weighted average outstanding shares of 375 million.
For the first half fiscal year 2012, Chroma achieved consolidated sales revenues of NTD 5,956 million, and parent only sales revenues was NTD 1,997 million, which represented a decline of 37% YoY. The net profit in first half was NTD 448 million, a decline of 52% YoY, with basic earnings per share of NTD 1.20.
Chroma has presented a 28% growth in the second quarter compared to last quarter, which was mainly contributed by IC and LCD Panel product sectors, an increase of 154% and 80% respectively. Moving forward, the Company expected the power, IC and LED testing business will be the major drivers for growth in the second half. The power testing business is mainly contributed from servo, LED lighting, battery pack and automotive applications, meanwhile the growth IC testing business will be sustained by tri-temperature solutions. The newly LED In-Line Light Bulb / Tube Automation have been adopted by top-tier customers and expected the market to ramp up from second half.
The July sales revenues were NTD 424 million, which increased from NTD 403 million last month, represented a growth of 5% MoM and a decline of 9% YoY. All numbers are stand-alone.
